Middlemarch May

Have you always wanted to reach George Eliot’s sweeping humanist epic Middlemarch? Do you remember that I started Middlemarch in May of 2020 after finishing Moby Dick and put it down after 130 pages for no reason other than “tired”? My broad goal of reading at least one literary classic every year has enriched my life in ways difficult to articulate in a Substack post. Let’s just say: I love it.
