When in not Rome

Hi! Good morning! Fran Magazine is not in office this week, but instead going to see stuff like the above (in loving tribute)… and the below (in equally loving tribute)…

I’m doing something I’ve never done before, which is take a week off and going on vacation for my birthday (Thursday). Sometimes I just take the day, but I haven’t the past few years, usually preferring work through it all because my birthday makes me feel insane. Well, my birthday is still making me feel insane but why not do it in a city I love?

Anyway, consider this a big PAUSE on the magazine this week and I’ll be back next week with stories and reviews (— maybe a photodump for paying subscribers?) plus I owe you all a reread diary and lots of good stuff on the horizon.
