Grape flavor supremacy! It's great because purple is Always Grape and while red flavors are good, I hate to think I'm getting strawberry and get cherry something.

My favorite Outshines are always the limes, but I douse them in salt. Outshine lime, salt and a corona???? I feel like a Real Housewife.

Ice cream every day is necessary to beat the heat.

Clare and I have been to a new place two days in a row (rec by DF) that makes cheddar cheese gelato. Yum.

Il laboratorio del gelato.

The flavors change every day and they almost have too many. But it is awesome.

all timer pull from the substack timeline. outshine popsicles have been a great love of mine for many years, with my controversial top three being coconut, strawberry, and pineapple. cutting edge journalism! love!

Have never tried the Coconut ones because I've always felt an aversion to anything coconut ever since this period of pre-teen-hood where every body spray was coconut scented and smelled terrible (to me), but this glowing dual rec has convinced me to give them a shot. My personal fav is Lime (why all the hate...) and I also like Mango with Tajin for the novelty factor, though it tastes more like a savory meal than a fruit popsicle, if that makes sense. Also did not know they made Peach ones until I saw them at my Key Foods a couple days ago. Will be trying. Pear flavor is an insane, revolutionary idea I would buy 10 packs of immediately.

Emma you simply must coconut it up and report back asap. Totally agree re mango Tajin.

When I was at Jeni's we had a pear sorbet that used to be my go-to migraine aid: it was the one thing I could eat that would keep my nausea at bay!!!

No lime hate... just not giving anything special to me... but always yummy. I think when it comes to lime I'd rather have a key lime pie than something juice-forward.

Been eating coconut Outshine popsicles my whole life - the only dessert treat that is consistently in my parents’ freezer. My mom will eat one a night and then give the popsicle stick to the chihuahua. Their website should def be popsicle.com ????

on the record as having never had an Outshine bar, but this is the kind of press you can't buy (unless Outshine wants to, in which case they can)

also wanted to humbly recommend the Trader Joe's root beer float popsicles - for my money, the perfect blend of root beer pop flavor and orange-creamsicle-style cream filling

you are not alone in your kinda cringy mono trauma! I had it three years ago (mere weeks after I moved from Boston to Brooklyn by myself) and now every time I feel a tickle in my throat, my brain starts screaming that I’m going to be that ill again and I spiral. even though it is impossible to get mono a second time.

ok between this and the heat and just watching the mad men episode where peggy lands the popsicle account I am being influenced - popsicles are in my future. also those strawberry shortcake bars I can TASTE! when I was a kid every friday our elementary school did a PTA fundraiser where you could buy a slice of Buffo's pizza and an ice cream treat (choco taco or cookie ice cream sandwich) for $1.50, bliss. I think we got a can of pop too? and then the boys would pour the pop and ice cream onto their pizza and eat it... why were they like that

I have struggled sometimes to find the normal ass ice cream sandwiches at the store - can be very hit and miss here - I bought tofu ones a few months ago by mistake and while they were good, they did not live up to the classic.

Not sure if you were a mad men girlie (I’m watching for the first time) but it is fun to realize Popsicle had to have the idea to market their product for in-home use and everyone had to wonder, will people ever want to eat popsicles at home?
