ok no because i just read the first three books of blood a week ago (much dumber and worse than their reputation would suggest) and the idea of bradley cooper starring in an adaptation of THAT story is so funny. he could redeem the material imo! he has the juice!
billy joel & elton john at MSG was my first concert (with my mom, from whom i inherited billy - my first unsupervised concert was bright eyes, which, lol, puberty comes at you fast) and i was delighted to recently discover a close friend of mine also had a teen girl billy joel phase, so thank you for furthering my niche theory that somehow, although i don’t think he knows it and we should not tell him, billy joel is For The Girlies.
I wonder if the increased popularity of Olivia Rodrigo has made him more for the girlies than ever before. I got the chance to see Billy with my parents and it was so much fun!!
lol i used to work at american cinemateque and pretty much everything is a tribute or a retrospective if it’s focused on one person. they recently did a “kirsten dunst tribute with retrospective” which is BOTH
hell yeah glass houses. doesn't "through the long night" make you cry though...maybe just me...i like to listen and pretend it's paul mccartney (easy bc it sounds exactly like paul mccartney)
I feel like 2007's All My Life is a *much* better Joel song. The new one also has the odd, empty mixing that I kind of hate. Angry Young Man, Ballad of Billy the Kid, or Scenes from An Italian Restaurant are probably my fav Joel song.
My college ex loved Billy Joel and Dean Martin, which means I have an allergy to crooning now, but I do concede that You May Be Right is an all time banger
offering the episode of Alias where Will gets kidnapped as essential Cooper viewing.
GREAT addition
You can not have a BCoops retrospective without the Hangover!
And did u know Billy Joel and the band Phish have beef? He is the sworn enemy of the fan base. He called Phish a cover band
I actually CAN and WILL have a Cooper retro without the Hangover!!!
And yes I learned this last year, it's so funny. Where do you land on Joel?
Hate him!! Hope he never gets MSG at New Years ever again.
I watched Bradley's entire acting filmography last year and he so cute in the hangovers. You gotta include at least one of them!
midnight meat train lowkey the #1 movie i want to cover on the pod
I would volunteer but I'm literally scared...

A song about Linda!
😍

Joel Talk!! Where are you at on The Longest Time (a song I declared my favourite when I was seventeen years old)?
I'm very fond of it and have been since I was around the same age.

It doesn't but... I am happy for you

I saw Billy Joel Trauma Response at Pitchfork in 2019
“All for Leyna” a top 5er for me

Say Goodbye To Hollywood, The Stranger, Tell Her About It, Matter of Trust?
